Meet Henry & Yen, the Proud Owners of Henry’s Hawaiian Grill in Goodyear, Arizona!
Henry’s passion for the restaurant business began when he was just 16 years old in Boston, Massachusetts. Over the years, he gained valuable experience and developed a true love for serving great food and taking care of customers.
In 2008, Henry and his wife, Yen, made their way to Arizona. After years of experience in the restaurant industry, they opened Henry’s Hawaiian Grill in April 2020, bringing their passion, dedication, and love of good food to the Goodyear community.
Henry and Yen take great pride in serving food made with fresh, high-quality meats and vegetables. For them, quality is more than something they talk about — it’s something you can taste in every bite.

Traveling through Goodyear from Surprise. Stopped at Ace Hardware and seen Henry's and stopped in to get some lunch. Outstanding katsu Chicken. The macaroni salad is the best I have had. I am real picky when it comes to Hawaiian food. Place was very very clean and for the amount of food I received for the $ was great. I will now have to travel back to get the best Hawaiian food.
We were recommended to Henry’s by some friends here in Surprise who told us they had outstanding Hawaiian BBQ, and they were absolutely right!
I had the chicken fried rice and the portion was huge — enough that I had plenty left over for the next day. What really stood out to me was the fried rice itself. A lot of Hawaiian BBQ places only offer white rice, so I loved having the option of fried rice. Henry’s gives it a little Hawaiian twist with small pieces of pineapple mixed in, and it really complements the flavor without overpowering it.
I also tried their Thai Tea, and I honestly don’t have the words to explain how good it was. I’ve had Thai teas before that were overly sweet or too strong, but Henry’s was perfectly balanced, smooth, and incredibly refreshing.
Great food, generous portions, and flavors that really stand out. We’ll definitely be going back!
Really good meal—their Sweet Chili Chicken is one of their best sellers and tastes even better than the orange chicken from the major takeout chains, paired perfectly with steamed rice and their creamy macaroni salad.
Swung by for a quick bite after a long workday, and it totally hit the spot—the teriyaki beef was tender, packed with flavor, and the massive portions easily feed two!
